The Hero's Journey - A Sidescrolling Swordfighter!

Hello GameJolt!

This is the Andrew Gray, and I wanted to share a Unity Short I’ve dubbed finished/stable with you today on GameJolt - The Hero’s Journey!

The Hero’s Journey is a sidescrolling swordfighter much like Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, only it’s a shorter, denser experience that uses modern technology to bring the besieged kingdom of Aylea to life. I started building it in April of 2013, and today I’m bringing it to you.

The game can take anywhere from thirty minutes to a little over an hour to complete, depending on if you choose to complete the game’s sidequest, and hunt down all of the Heart Runes.

I’m also planning a patch for the game to fix some of the small issues that exist on release - there’s some things that could still give a little better feedback, or behave a little better. However, the package I have here should give a well-polished, satisfactory gaming experience.

Please feel free to drop me a line on anything you would like to see in the game! And, I truly hope you enjoy this game.

Game on, folks!
