One of the things we love to work on for Legrand Legacy is the monsters as they leave a lot of room for creativity – this allows us to let our imaginations run wild! For inspiration, we often look at everything from nature to mythical creatures to find the right balance for our creatures so that they fit within the Legrand Legacy universe.

For today we want to give you a look at two monsters that were based on a noble creature: the owl! Owls are a classic staple in fantasy lore, and are perfect for the world of Legrand Legacy

Kalkkhukka - Loyal Warriors

The Kalkkhukka are vicious warriors who possess high intelligence and work as the extremely loyal guardians of Dring’s Keep. To attack their enemies, they rely on their heavy serrated blade which can paralyze their enemies in a matter of seconds. Their physical appearance is a combination of thick fur all over their head, back, chest as well as some scaly skin on their legs.

Bwoorhan - Nocturnal Jungle Terrors

The Bwoorhan are ferocious and territorial jungle creatures with owl-like features, sharp green scales, and deadly claws. They usually come alive at night to hunt, but are difficult to spot due to their tree-like antlers which allow them to blend seamlessly with their surroundings.

Some people have tried to tame them but most ended up losing a finger or two in the process. If you hear a Bwoorhan’s distinctive shrilling calls you better run because this creature packs a powerful punch!
