Hi everyone, it's time for that cool monthly update on progress. I'm actually not really gonna go into detail too much on details on the progress because honestly, the game is pretty much finished. Almost everything is playable and ready and at this point its a matter of cleaning things up and polishing the little bits.
With that said, there is something important that this update is indeed about, and its in regards to the Ultimate Challenge that this game has to offer.
FNAF 1 UCN has a pretty infamously terrible mode that is extremely reliant on the game deciding to give you a good run and not killing you from RNG shenanigans. Comparatively, FNAF 1 SCN's current base max mode is looking a lot better and the general direction of the game is looking pretty great so far, actively relying a lot more on skill and being fast in your actions.
However, secretly in the background, something sinister has been brewing. A feature that has yet to be revealed up to this point, and something that is unique to this update compared to UCN 1. And its time to reveal that after unlocking every character, you are given access to...
The challenge modifier that was first introduced in SL SCN makes its return for FNAF 1 SCN! This time, hyper is the only challenge that the game has, and is intended to be the true replacement for No Fan mode in the original game. Unlike SL SCN, Hyper is going to have more unique changes to the characters this time and not just make them fast just because "fast is funny" (and there totally isn't some secret mechanic attached to the challenge either...yep, nothing at all). Granted, the challenge is still gonna be a good deal harder than the base gameplay, so those looking to complete any challenges with hyper I wish the best!
And yes, this means the true max mode of the game is Hyper 12/20. There is no other modes after this and this isn't any misdirect or anything. I'd rather keep this at 2 modes instead of like...4. That's a lot of SL modes. Hopefully should still be a lot better than Nightmare No-Fan, and more importantly is, well, actually fun.
And that's really it. The game's almost ready and pretty much everything has been shown off now. There are potential circumstances brewing that may allow the update to release earlier than intended but...I'd rather keep those circumstances a surprise unless it happens. For now, time to go finish up! More to come soon!
