The Launcher Continues

Hello everyone,

So today my day was spent working on getting the backend of the new launcher up and running to download installation and patch files. It took me ridiculously longer than I should have. I attempted to overcomplicate the process way too many times thinking I needed more tools than I did.

But at the end of the day, I have the patcher downloading an installation file from a cloud server.

GREAT SUCCESS!

Unfortunately download speeds are a joke of 100KB/s. So I am working to resolve that next as well as working on the design of the launcher itself before I release it to those waiting to test my build.

But progress has been made and I am happy with that.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Why walk when you can jump?

Showing off player 2 😎

What do you think?
