The Monster in the Basement finished the last of your candy and dashed away into the night. Something makes me think we haven't seen the last of them...


And that's a wrap on Halloween 2020!

We had a lot of fun putting together the Halloween Video Challenge as well as the Trick-or-Treat events!

Watching all of you earn stickers by spreading positivity around Game Jolt and sharing your loot of hard earned candy stickers was heart-warming. We're so happy YOU'RE a part of Game Jolt!

Halloween Artwork

We were incredibly lucky to work with such talented artists from Game Jolt like @ddemkoo for the candy stickers and trophies and @JayferGames for the evolution of the monster as well as the Halloween posters! If you haven't already, give these two talented artists a follow!

But some of you also created incredible fanart! Let's take a minute to look at a few. You can find even more in the Halloween Community!

We plan on reviving the same community for Halloween 2021 so don't go anywhere!

Maddy Thorson is a lead creator behind TowerFall and Celeste! She also co-founded Extremely OK Games with her friends.

She got her start making small games in GameMaker and has also developed romhacks.

Gibraltar was the first Apex Legend confirmed to be part of the LGBTQ+ community! His commitment to protecting others began after his boyfriend died in a motorcycle accident. Apex Legends writer Tom Casiello confirmed that Gibraltar is gay in 2020.

@Dave_Microwaves_Games is a Jolter to Watch and indie horror dev! Follow @Dave_Microwaves_Games before the quest ends on July 1 and you'll get Coins!

Lev is a trans man who appeared in The Last of Us Part 2 as one of Abby's allies. GLAAD described Lev as one of the "highlights of quality representation in recent years."
