Hey Space Octopus Fans,
This post is going to be the last of the year with a reflection of what this year brought and some plans for the future. We are posting this now, because the holidays are extremely busy for many of us.
First of all, we cannot thank you enough for the love and support you have showed us for Do You Copy. Whenever we make games for Game Jams, we always want people to enjoy them, but we never expected this to blow up like it did. From the comments, Let’s Plays, and fan art, it’s been a surreal experience and really humbles us.
With that support, we wanted to give you more so we set out on making this into a full game. We have made progress, but it definitely isn’t without its challenges. This is a side project for us and if life gets crazy, it gets put to the side. The end of this year saw a lot of change for many of us so we had to take a break. We aren’t done working on it and are very excited by the plans we have. We will be tackling working on it again in the new year. Thank you so much for your patience and support.
We do have something coming in the meantime with The Midnight Shift with Lenny Motts. When we decided to do the Fear Jam in the wake of Asylum Jam, we tried to be very ambitious. In fact we were a little too ambitious and didn’t finish our game in 48 hours due to some technical difficulties. Even though we have done this for years now, making games is hard and we are always learning new things. We got very close, but instead of just putting it out there with all its bugs, we are going to take a little time to finish it up and polish this small experience as we are very excited by this idea. Expect this early next year. Here is a screenshot to give a bit of a tease.

It’s been a wild ride and we are excited to go strong in 2019. Have a Happy Holidays and see you next year.
