The move to Unreal Engine 5!

Quick Summary

Over the past few days, a significant change took place to the development of FNAF World: The Resurrection, more specifically, how the game was going to be developed going forward. As you can tell by the title, the game's development is being moved from Clickteam to Unreal Engine 5.

What does this mean for the game then?

There is one major positive with this move. We will have more creative freedom with the game mechanically and visually. This means bigger and better ideas for the gameplay aspects, since the game will be fully 3D. We will do our best to keep the visual appeal and style of FNAF World.

However, this doesn't come without losses. We will have to do things from beginning again, and adventure animatronics are in need of major changes, due to optimisation issues, which we wouldn't want to these issues to dampen the player experience with the game feeling sluggish from a lack of polish and care.

As a team, we want this game to be the absolute best it possibly can be, and Clickteam would have made that difficult due to how restrictive it is. We believe this change will allow us to achieve our best. Once we start making good progress, we hope to be able to share sneak peaks and more!

See you on the flipside!
