School uniforms normally stay constant over a long period of time at any school. However this does not seem to be the case for Hopes Peak Academy in particular. You may have noticed certain sprites of characters seemingly wearing a standard uniform, based on this design:

Boys uniforms with brown blazers, white shirts, red ties, brown pants.
Girls uniforms with brown blazers, white shirts, black bows, dark blue skirts, and white stockings.

This WAS the intended design to be used in our fangame. Up until now. Lets go further into the rabbit hole. Certain characters, seem to be “Off-Code”.

First example would be Hifumi, who has an orange tie with a pattern on it, instead of a red school tie. Second example, is Celeste, who appears to not be wearing any uniform at all, and is instead wearing her normal Goth-Lolita outfit.

As we questioned this, we went further into research finding out what was the deal with the weird dress code? This brings us to Exhibit B:

Huh? What is going on here? The girls uniform looks almost completely different on Mikan and Hiyoko? And is Ibuki even wearing uniform at all?

Mikan and Hiyoko are wearing Brown skirts and Red/Green Bows? That’s a little different from the uniform above. But Ibuki is wearing the dark blue skirt too, like above, but has a chain around it. She isn’t wearing a Bow but instead a Purple Tie? And why is she wearing black stockings with bones on them?

Either this is a continuity error, or something is going on here. Lets check the newest designs of the school uniform from DR3:

Well Ibuki seems to be wearing the same thing now, but everyone else seems to have their own variant of uniform.Some of them aren’t even IN uniform. A lot of the other characters (Unshown) seem to have some sort of different variation on their uniforms as well. I guess if we noticed this, we wouldn’t have to go back and recolour some of the Cameo sprites.

TL;DR The uniform rules at Hopes Peak seem to be quite relaxed for a Private School. Recolourings for sprites will be done to amend for continuity purposes. Some characters with two contradicting designs at once (IE Hiyoko) will be chosen based on timing in the story.
