For context before FNaF 6 Scott made a post called the retcon issue, where he stated he hade only made retcon up to that point, but here's the thing everyone thinks he retconned dream theory when it was never cannon in the first place. Scott said himself the retcon was not a confusion point in the community, but big enough to be noticed, but seamless, so it can't be dream theory since that would be big and make the community confused. I think he retconned something from FNaF 1, well what is it? The retcon in my opinion was that the killer was charged and convicted, as seen in the newspapers in FNaF 1, however we know that's not true since William Afton was roaming around enough to get spring locked and murder the MCI, and DCI kids.
