Hey everybody!!! So close to the beta, so exciting! Making a game is frustrating, time consuming and tiring, but it also brings extreme satisfaction once everything starts coming together. Let's get into this weeks reveals!!!
The tables
As you can see in the image, that's the camera footage of the dining tables at FredBear's. It's one of my favourite cameras because the lighting is weirdly beautiful. As you can see, the tables are still full of things, there was a party taking place but it ended abruptly.
I wonder why...
Anyways, here's a look at what it looked like before, it's definitely an improvement:

Now:

The rats
So, as you now, Melodies will have random events that can take place during the night. Most are paranormal and creepy but I thought it would be fun to also have a random event which would take place if you left the door or the window open. You'd hear steps behind you, turn around thinking an animatronic would be there and instead you'd find a rat. It would hiss at you and run away. I even started making the model for the rat:

It was cute, as it was meant as more of a comic relief happening.
Well... bad news...
The rat is gone. There will still be paranormal events related to the rat but it is gone, as in dead.

Rats are kind of an important part of the game. They are my biggest fear but they also signify more to the story and hint at some stuff in the end.
So, the rat is gone, it's not going to come running into your office anymore but it will still hold significant. Rest in peace, Richard Rat Cheese.
The Baker's mechanic
Something that has always been troublesome with the game was The Baker's mechanic. As you may know, once an animatronic gets into the office, you have to deal with it. You have to shoot FredBear with a stun gun and you have to sync your breathing with Bonnie. Then there's The Baker, the previous mechanic, which was already coded, consisted on having to find objects around the office before the time ran out. Now it's very different and leans a lot more into the supernatural, mind-bending characteristics of this character. Here's an image about it:

I had to censor the cakes he's holding for spoiler reasons but I can assure you, they're quite tasty.
While I won't spoil his mechanic just yet, there will be a whole post about it soon enough, so don't worry, you'll get to see a lot more of him.
Programming
I've been doing a lot of programming lately. In fact, the whole code for the office has been remade from the ground up. It's pretty crazy, but it has been reduced to half while also getting significant improvements. I couldn't be happier with that, the office now looks better, works better and is better optimized, isn't that wonderful? The cameras have also been fully implemented into the office now, with the whole AI working in very few lines of code and with a very low RAM use. This will allow me to add more paranormal activities and easter eggs to find during the main gameplay loop.
Bonnie Jumpscare
Here's a frame of Bonnie's jumpscare. The jumpscares in this game were made to be more realistic in the sense that the animatronic won't just yell at you, they will actually attack you in order to kill you.

So yes, Bonnie will straight up choke you in this game.
Anyways, that's all for today. There's so much stuff I wanna show but I really can't because of spoilers. Thankfully, once the closed beta is done, I'll post some screenshots and videos taken right from it.
Make sure to like this post and also the game, and follow if you aren't yet so that you won't miss any updates. Have an amazing day!
