Hi! It's been such a wild ride. I've worked very, very hard the past 9 months in order for the game to be as quality as possible. Even though, I literally didn't have a moment to take a breath literally to a point of releasing. I've spent the last 3 days DESPERATELY fixing and finishing last things out of my checklist, and after I was finally done (15 minutes before the release lol), I thought that this will be enough, but the community has quickly proven me otherwise XD
Luckily I have most of the bugs listed by now, and I'm going to be gradually getting rid of them. None of these (except for the very rare lift bug which I'm still not sure where is coming from) are really gamebreaking luckily. Here are the ones found by you guys:
SERVER LIST BUGS:
- I know that servers sometimes duplicate. If you want to make sure that your server doesn't duplicate, close the game before reopening a server.
- I am not entirely sure about this one yet, but sometimes it seems to forward you to a different server than the one you chose from the list, that's another thing I'll be carefully looking into.
- There's a particular scenario in which randoms can join a private game, if you don't want it - restart the game before making a private lobby.
IN SUMMARY: if you wanna play, either join my discord and post a lobbyID of a private server, or just give it to your friends. This method is 1000x more reliable right now.
IN-GAME BUGS:
- I know about lifts sometimes bugging out.
- I'm aware of a menu bug with overlapping menus
- If you're in an in game menu while your class gets changed it will hide your mouse and then it's pretty bad cuz you're stuck moving with a menu blocking a view and no way to hide it, so watch out for that too.
HOTKEYS:
Q - voice chat
E - interact
Leftclick - kill as an animatronic
N - player list
M - console (if you're a host AND the lobby was never public, even for a second)
In inventory:
Leftclick - equip to hand
Rightclick - drop
CONSOLE COMMANDS:
- forceclass <playerID> <classID> - changes the class of a player
- kill <playerID> <[1 to instakill, 0 to injure]> - kills or injures the player, works only if the player is a nightguard at the moment
- finishround - self explanatory
- lockround - self explanatory
classIDs explanation:
classID 1 = Nightguard role
classID 2 = Freddy role
classID 3 = Bonnie role
classID 6 = Spectator role
PlayerIDs explanation: - Open a player list under N key - players there in order are playerID 1, 2, 3 etc
Glad that answers some of your questions, I'm overall really happy with the a launch, and I'm looking forward to some youtubers posting videos of it ^^
