About 4 weeks ago I made this post talking about the evolution of my “Oc”. While making that post there was one tiny secret I had left out on purpose because I was worried about how people would react when I say it. So I left it out intentionally to start a drama. Now I will reveal about the secret that I left out. (What I might from this point onward is my opinion and my opinion only). See when I made my “Oc’s” I have never took creating an Oc seriously and I find that creating an Oc to reflect on the persons real life self is kinda ridiculous. Like many people who create their own Oc sort of add like a soul to it or something. I understand and respect the decisions that some people prefer to represent themselves through their Oc of their favourite franchise/fandom, but I am really sick and tired of many creators who made their Oc to have their designs change it’s so annoying. To add on if these creators/YouTubers why spend time and energy on creating an Oc and changing the design rather than making/modelling a character in blender or sfm. See the reason I’m saying this is because I was scrolling through YouTube and I keep coming across many creators posting about their Oc or design changes of their Oc. When I look at them they either have clothes/fabric look around the character model, or a bowtie with ribbons on it. In my mind I had this question if these creators changed or made their Oc based on these materials or have looked through a YouTube video and learned about it why don’t these creators use these newfound skills to make their own characters or revamp/change already existing characters like I don’t get it. Also don’t get me started on self inserting themselves into sfm/blender animations/songs of their favourite franchise. like I can’t enjoy watching an animation/song video made by a YouTuber or a creator from their franchise without seeing someone self inserting their own Oc as if they are relevant to add. I also want to tell you this. In 2021 up until this year I have never planned or wanted to make an Oc to begin with. When I made those Oc’s even the recent newer version of my “Oc” those were just experiments to see and craft on different designs that I had envisioned on my mind or even planned. I even gained new skills such as how to model a cave crystals, how to model spirals, how to model a sticky note or even on how to add a static effect on a Tv screen. When I make my Oc’s I don’t use them for anything i don’t use them to make a story or even a YouTube animation I just add it into my list of model collection that I modelled and admire the design and effort I put to create the design that I wanted for it to look like. (This is a bit unrelated but I will keep the name that being ScanLine mangle because I loved that name that I called when creating the FNAF Ar mangle skin for the Arcade Mayhem event).

Anyway ranting is over I wanted to get this out of my chest and just be honest with everyone about this specific topic.

I hope you can understand my reasoning and perspective as to why I hate Oc’s in general. I also hope that I haven’t made people upset when I discussed about Oc’s and why I dislike it.
