Wow!
It’s been a super, suuuper busy 3 days for “Team Jenito.” We are so excited about the players and followers of The Grimsworth Reports! You folks are what it’s all about when it comes to making games. We want to craft a fun, unique experience for you, and I can only hope that we are living up to that dream in some small way. Thank you for helping us get this far!
The Team
First off, I think a couple introductions might be in order. I’m Daniel, the lead/sole developer for The Grimsworth Reports. The art you see, music you hear, sounds you experience, story you enjoy, conversations you have, programming by which you play the game, and overall design you either love or hate… that’s the product of a lot, lot, looooot of work on my part. But it’s worth it, because I love making games!
Thankfully, I’m not completely alone! My brother-in-arms is Tim, Jenito’s PR man. If you follow jenito_games on Twitter, jenitogames on Facebook, or jento_games on instagram (which you should, of course, follow all three!) then you daily see the results of Tim’s arduous labors. He’s constantly posting screenshots, retweeting what I talk about from my JDanielHall twitter account (of course you already follow that… right?!), and just being an all around amazing dude.
The News
So now to the big “kick off” news… as of this morning (our 3rd morning being on Game Jolt) The Grimsworth Reports is the 2nd hottest adventure game on Game Jolt! And I’ve even posted a screenshot for proof! How legit can you get? Seriously, this is a major accomplishment. We feel immensely grateful to those of you who have checked the game out and passed the word along. Going on from here we hope you’ll consider telling your friends about the game and sharing our posts on your social media accounts. Jenito has a grand budget of about $150 to work with right now, so that’s pretty much going to cover Steam Direct and maybe buy us a bit of advertising. Grassroots is key for us!
And on that point, just as a “full disclosure,” Jenito is not a full-time development company. I am not a full-time developer. I’m blessed to be able to spend a hefty amount of time developing each week, but this is still a part-time thing. So if I ever seem to “vanish” for a few hours, that’s because I have other work obligations.
The Thanks!
So, I’m glad I could introduce you to “the team” and share the big kick off news. We are so excited to have made it this far on the Game Jolt ratings, and we want to just keep moving up from here. If you get a chance comment and rate the game, and please share it with those you know who would enjoy some good, classic, b-rated crime/horror/point-and-click/get-killed-by-a-thermostat (that is a thing, you know) fun!
THANK YOU!
-Daniel
