Now that the funny month is over, I think it's time to write this final devlog for this game.
This game is my april fools project for this game that was inspired by the fake mechanics Subwoofer revealed in a news update for NBD 2015. However, I couldn't make it fully accurate as I didn't want the game to be that pointless.
~
This game has lore. That's right, the joke of this game is that it's not really a joke. However, the main game is supposed to be a mockery of things. But let me talk about the story of this game first.
The game takes place between the april fools version of NBD 2 and NBD 2016. You play as Henry, who has created the toons from belief, which he was merely hallucinating about. You're then forced to run into a cabin on the island, but with your mental state spikes appear and stuff. This wasn't exactly planned, but Slimer put spikes everywhere anyway, which I'm okay with. :)
Now about "the future". No one probably thought it means anything, but it kind of does. You see, Henry is going through a metamorphosis of becoming a toon, and this "Ink God", who came from the NBD 2 troll teaser (The one that said 2BAD), which I actually intended to call Ink Demon but eh, Ink God makes more sense, the Ink God is Henry's final form. That's right, in this lore that I have for 4.0, Henry himself is God. This would also explain Ink-Blot Undying, which was a thing that was intended for 4.0. In that final test, AKA NBD 1, Henry is able to send the toons away by merely blinking. He's becoming stronger, and thus, undying. Then 4.0 happens.
Also MickMick is a newborn toon who was just created after NBD 2. And Suicide Mouse was basically killed off. Now he's trapped as a hallucination. Goofy had a case of always existing, but no one knew he was there.

Alright, I think that's all the lore. Let's get into the scrapped content now.
Originally, Goofy and Undying were supposed to instantly kill you, but I figured they're kind of annoying characters so I made them stun you like Ortensia and Suicide Mouse.
Minnie and Oswald were originally supposed to have unique mechanics, but for accuracy reasons and for balancing reasons, they became flashlight characters. For Oswald, there was a scrapped Oswald voodoo doll to make him leave, and you would have to hide under the desk for Minnie. You would be able to see her legs and would have to wait for them to disappear.
The extras menu were originally intended to have audio logs to explain the lore, voiced by me, I, myself, Enlain, but since this is an april fools project, I didn't want to overwork myself. You would unlock one after beating each night.
1. Henry talks about seeing monstrous Disney characters on the cameras, but ends up assuming that it's just the cameras acting bad.
2. Henry reports that he saw the toons at his door, and not just through the cameras, and reports that the toons can speak certain things. He then mentions his medicine, AKA the pills from NBD 1, and decides he should maybe try to draw to distract himself from his hallucinations.
3. Henry find an ink-blot on his paper that he doesn't remember drawing. It would then disappear, and Ortensia would get created and chase him.
4, Henry locks himself in the cabin, discovering MickMick and the Mickey doll, which in this lore originally belonged to Lisa. Stabbing it with a needle hurts him and scares him away.
5. Undying speaks to Henry, acting as his alter-ego.
6. Henry talks about his metamorphosis and wishes Jake luck.I originally intended to bring back the Mickey voodoo doll minigame which Subwoofer originally planned for NBD 2016, but it was pointless and, again, didn't want to overwork myself.
Ortensia's mechanic was originally a lot harder. There would be numbers on the screens in her room, which would tell on which camera is each bunny child. If you would select the wrong camera or you would put it down, she would jumpscare you, but originally there was no time limit.
The camera reboot mechanic was originally supposed to be the exact same as the camera shut off mechanic from FNaTI. This was supposed to be referencing NBD 2 more though, so I made it reboot the whole camera system for 5 seconds. But the camera shut off was in the fake mechanics on the official NBD 2015 wiki.

And that's that. Thank you all for the support for this game. I really didn't expect it to get this much attention. See you all in Abandoned: Remastered! And, possibly, the next april fools.
