I like to imagine Homer & Marge taking longer to finish is because Homer's a fatass (and the work ethics suck)

The idea will just be an idea, it won't be turned into a game. But if it did, I can imagine they're just background props (since they don't have the night mode thing yet), while the real threats are thieves breaking in.
