Hi there, Apsel here. As previously stated. Mega Man X Synchro Project is an open world game. The player is able to access all areas of the game form the start and progression is not locked behind finding items. Both X and Zero can go anywhere on the map that is needed for both story progression and a most side quests without any upgrades. Armor parts are completely optional. And the game can be beaten without them. Zero is also planned to have more forms, but in the end that depends on if someone is willing to sprite them.
