TLDR; I'm taking a break, but when I come back I won't have to restart the entire project like I've done in the past out of dissatisfaction because currently I'm happy with the game.
As of late, I've been finding myself a lot less inclined to work on ACND. I have the entire story pretty much planned out, but can't seem to find the motivation to work. Under normal circumstances this would be devastating, however there's an interesting little piece to this that normally isn't there when this happens.
Whenever I end up burning out, I end up remaking the game from scratch upon coming back. This is usually what leads to me having to take EVEN MORE time to make progress. The difference between before and now, is simple:
This may in fact be the definitive build of the game.
Unlike every other time I've needed a break, I now have progress in multiple departments. I make the graphics, the music, the programming, and everything in general, all by myself. With what I've made in terms of graphics, I'm satisfied with. With what I've made in terms of music, I'm satisfied with. With what I've made in terms of the game itself, I'm satisfied with. I'm happy with the progress I've made, and feel no need to restart the entire project.
When I break out of this funk as I always do, it would appear that the game is going to be picked right back up where I left it. I don't have that desire to restart, because I'm satisfied with what I have.

I hope all of have a good 2020. Thank you for sticking around for almost 4 years as some idiot fumbles around with a game you're interested in.

Happy Valentines Day, everyone!
As I grow closer to completing the first world of the game, it becomes harder to find the energy to work on it more. I've been sucked into other games, and my own lack of energy. Let's hope I can going on it.
Perfect weather for swimming! or, low gravity platforming, if you're Dog.
