Blaming the FNAF Community as a collective that sends unforgivable acts of harassment is blanketing, and completely wrong.
We need to address the elephant in the room.
The FNAF Community is what created games, animations and the amazing, spooky world and songs you all binge watch. You are all strong, awesome, and the coolest people I’ll ever know.
The FNAF Community is not defined by people who attack, and belittle people even when they’re at their most insecure, and as FANDOMS we’re unfortunately not unfamiliar with people like that who are the outliers of ALL internet communities.
But we might not realize why people incorrectly confuse us for these types of people… when you never could be. And it’s important you can understand what makes someone think WRONG:
- You might share and spread demeaning, laughing at and putting down creators and game developers passion projects as funny and fair.
- You might support creators who puts down fans, supports toxicity, and spread misinformation on what actually happened.
But soon, on the surface, people start to confuse you , harass you, and incorrectly compare you to the “outliers” you personally disgust and despise that could NEVER be associated with.
If this description doesn’t apply to you, don’t compare yourself to them. Don’t associate with outliers. Don’t support the people who DON’T support your comfort franchise. Don’t call your attackers friends, and don’t dare ride at the same carnival, for you’re not on this ride together.
You are all, FNAF. We are much much different than them, and we need to help all of us put ourselves back together.
