There was originally way different Custom Night Challenges for SNwTB 1, and originally had a "Golden Night" where you would go against a golden version of the Buddies. Same reason it was scrapped was the same reason for Shadow Challenges.

Here's an unused thing I forgot to put in the extra's of the first game. The Shadow Showdowns. Where it was planned for where you go against shadow versions of the buddies. But was scrapped early because of the idea.
