the player character loads four mfcs into the gun which uses four from your inventory because they're a stand-in for 40mm grenades
as you can see with the laser and plasma rifles and even the LAER they hold one (1) mfc and the player character loads one (1) mfc into the weapon
yet it still consumes twenty four (24) mfcs from your inventory
put it on sale you scoundrels
a WHOLE load of bullshit
the only ballistic weapon in fo3 that i can bash is the ppsh ass combat shotgun that has a magazine that is way too far away from the ejection port and it would make no sense ever to have it set up like this
although there are some diamonds in the rough... it's okay fo4 handmade rifle and hunting rifle i don't mind that you're left handed for no reason even though the player character is right handed... i still love you...

-fo1/2 turbo plasma rifle
-fo1/2 alien blaster
also i'm not some sort of "no fun allowed" person cus the holorifle is very dubious in ways of how it could function but it's one of my favourite energy weapons of all time nonetheless
and it's not even a matter of aesthetic that fits within the other games in the franchise because many weapons in fallout 3 are based off of real ones and even the fictional ones seem functional
