shortly after the new ceo said that their direction for gamejolt was to keep it "fun and profitable"

and thats when

in my opinion

the fall of gamejolt started

and ever since i've been pointing out "he gamejolts pretty money hungry" and "hey everything gamejolts been doing has been pretty shop based" and i have been saying it for so long

yet those gamejolt stans in the comments remained

no matter how shitty or bland an event or update was, there was always one supporter in the comments

not this time though

for the first time in forever, i look at a gamejolt post about a shitty update and everyone hates it

thats how much gamejolt fucked up

funny thing is, this whole thing proves me right

gamejolt cares more about money than users

october, they remove firesides because money, even after everyone says they want them to stay

money over users

they introduce joltbux and everyone hates it, but they don't care

money over users

they get comment after comment criticizing their money hungry approach, but they dont care

money over users

if gamejolt truly cared about their users, they would not give us features we do blatantly hate

if gamejolt truly cared about their users than at least ONE of the ideas in the ideas tab of THEIR community would be used instead of just ignored

if gamejolt truly cared about their users than we they wouldn't have partnered with fucking nfts

thats where we are now

so greedy

that they partnered with a nft company

if gamejolt cared about us, than they would not be shaking our wallets for every penny

so yeah, everybody, creators, gj supporters, gj haters, people who never really cared, EVERYBODY

i hope we can come together

and post about how greedy and money hungry gamejolt is

because thats the golden rule of social media company's nowadays

if they won't listen

make them listen

i encourage you all to give every last bit of criticism to everything gamejolt has been doing

because even if nothing changes in general

we can at least hope gamejolt will back out of this whole nft thing

or maybe not

but still, i wanna hear every creator and user give gamejolt a piece of their mind

and to gamejolt

i know that you think that you are keeping gamejolt "fun and profitable" but listen

and actually listen this time

we HATE how water down this platform is

we HATE joltbux and shops

we HATE every single money hungry thing you've been doing

we HATE YOU as of rn

and only you can listen

so PLEASE listen to the criticism of your users, and make this platform fun again

PLEASE care about your users again

and maybe we'll start caring to
