As a Railfaner, (some of y'all too). It was very sad that not only a specific bridge was burnt down, but it was on a railroad I lived 2 hours away from!
Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad has been one of my childhood places to go to rarely. I was planning to always drive there for visits when I'm able to. I've had research on this small operational railroad for quite sometime, it was one of my most interesting ones I've ever seen. I've went on a hike to explore this railroad with my family, it felt very old & run down, but the company was still working on it. But then now in 2025, the whole entire bridge burnt down. Crazy how it started to go all over the news.
