I kinda wanted to talk about this..
This was pure evil.
To do something like this to someone who just loves comics and superheroes is baffling to me. Watching that girl do what she did pissed me off. All of them. Their behavior was absolutely disgusting.
Aydin loves Spider-Man (who happens to be my favorite Marvel superhero). He was invited to a local park, assuming it would be a costume party. His “friends” then turned it into a bullying session.
To make fun of someone cosplaying a hero, no matter the age, is baffling to me. Comic conventions exist to bring people and their creativity together. Cosplay is an art form in itself. His costume was awesome, a 2000s version of Spidey.
I sincerely hope this wasn’t ruined for him and he continues to find enjoyment in comics and cosplay. The worldwide community standing up for him is heartwarming to see. 🖤
We need a world with superheroes to remind us of the good values we cherish. It can serve as escapism, inspiration, and so on. We can inspire to be good and do more good, for not just ourselves, but for those around us as well.
May Aydin stay strong.
