Ik is a generally cheerful and optimistic person, motivating the traveler to continue, and supplying information related to the floors (albeit, mostly far too late, to make a better point that he is not the sharpest tool in the shed). He is eccentric and sweeps the harm of the inn under the rug. While he acknowledges the hostile guests, he also repeatedly assures the inn is safe and normal. He cares for the traveler's well-being and considers him a friend, and over the course of the game, he speaks less formally and more casually.

While he is generally kindhearted, he can be curt and snippy, especially if the player is rude to him.

He is also extremely goofy.
