Hi guys!
So I was just thinking, one of the problems I had with the original Uppertale was it’s story. I couldn’t think of anything I liked, and by the time someone suggested to me a good idea, I didn’t wanna do it.
At the moment I only had one idea for the game:
Open-world. The game is basically like Animal Crossing, where you can do various activities with everyone else (with many secrets and such).
One activity I had in mind was Undyne’s fight club, for example. Undyne would have a fight club which you could go against her to get each other down to 1 HP first. If you win, you get a gold trophy on top of your closet in your room.
There would be many more silly things like that. I even have/had plans to be able to go back to the mountain so you can go inside and discover an old friend.
However, I know some people won’t be too happy the game isn’t story-based, since Undertale was all about story and character development, and I understand that.
Which is why I am asking all of you!
What do you think the story should be? If you have any ideas, let me know in the comments!!
I was thinking… since Undertale: The Second Chance (an amazing fan-game by Dagaz) has sadly been cancelled, I was considering making the story of this new Uppertale (if it has one in the end) revolve around bringing Flowey to the overworld or saving Asriel. I would ask Dagaz first to see if he’s alright with it, since you never know, he might get inspiration to work on it again and I don’t want to steal his thunder or anything.
