Today, a classmate mentioned that we are never truly outside.

The following article will explain.

If you go "outside" your house, you're still inside the Earth's atmosphere.

If you go outside the Earth's atmosphere, you're in the solar system.

If you go outside the solar system, you're in an infinite void of stars, galaxies, etc. that we call space.

And you can't go outside infinite.

So you're never truly outside of anything. Or everything. Or just outside in general.

You're always inside of something no matter where you are.

Let that sink in for a second.
