Thomas Brown was a young boy who seemed to be friends with almost everyone and made himself well-known for helping the community whenever there was a chance.
His favourite thing to do in his free time is catch passing trains on his camera, especially steam engines, unitl one night he spotted Drunk Sir Topham Hatt the 1st walking on the same rails the Express Train was about to pass by. Thomas right away pushed him aside but got ran over himself.
This was a depressing moment for the Islanders. Because of this, an experiment has been done. With help of Sir Topham Hatt the 2nd's donation Sudrian scientists managed to create an Artificial Mind with copies of Thomas' memories built into them and plugged up to a modified J72 with a face made of an Flexible Alloy.
The Experiment turned out to be a big success and from this moment on Sodor's engines became a celebration of famous or important people of the Island.
