Today I've modeled this doorway in Blender and loaded it into Unreal Engine 5, looks like I'll be able to do some 3D game development!

I'm in the middle of learning the basics of UE5 and Blender by meticulously following tutorials on YouTube, though progress feels slow at times, it's there!

Getting a little more comfortable using these programs is the first step towards being able to create my own stuff in the engine. Every now and then I get a little overwhelmed, but focusing on small steps at a time helps a lot.

Celebrating milestones like loading in my first self-made meshes (and setting a monkey on fire in Blender) are great motivators.

If you're interested in learning the basics of Blender I've just started following this lovely tutorial in which you get to model a 3D donut:

For those of you interested in learning the basics of UE5 the free hour of code tutorials are a great place to start for beginners:

Stay tuned for more motivational progress reports! -Tim
