Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Main Theme
This song describes nothing about the game as a whole. It definitely fits on some occasions, but that’s not why I like it. It’s truly a good song in general for anything it fits with. Because it’s not the best song you could image, I put it low on the list. No matter what people say this will always be the best Smash Bros. Theme and will always be. The thought of victory and accomplishment arouses whenever I think of this song and it will always be amazing in its own way.
Pokemon (SHOW) - Main Theme
While not technically a Video Game song, it fits the theme of Pokemon and makes it seem rather adventurous. While the games are limited they do have the adventure feel and this show, or rather it’s song, makes the game seem much larger. It’s true that the Pokemon are our best friends and they always will be because of what bonds we make with theme no matter what kind of limitations occur. I will admit I never played and beat a Pokemon game, but I have started Pokemon Yellow and played Pokemon Stadium 2, so I know that even while battling I would love to hear this song. It just describes Pokemon!
Wind Waker - Main Theme
If you’ve played Wind Waker, especially as the Gameboy tingle, you would know that this game has a huge world and amazing atmosphere to it. The graphics may look childish but the game itself is in no way just for children. I think the song definitely captures that and whenever I watch or read top songs or themes in games I always beg for this song to make it high on the list because of how good it is. While I can’t call it my favorite, it is definitely something that brings out the nostalgic feel that I rarely get anymore because of how I lost my old games. I will never forget Wind Waker and how the game and the song brought something so beautiful to me, I love it.
Skyrim - Main Theme
The song itself is good in the middle. It makes we want to fight, to live, to explore, to be dragonborn! Although I don’t speak the language the subtitles really help. This song prepares me for any game that has an open world and exploration. Though I wouldn’t call it an adventurous title it’s definitely great for people who like that sort of stuff. Though I can’t say for sure what games it would go for. I know that the Minecraft parody, enderborn, is very good for the game even if it is less intense. It’s a good kick sometimes when you’re feeling down on your game, I would never call it a bad song just not the best. The reason I put it so high with a little downside to it is because I think the song just is better then my previous choices, but I don’t have a long history with it.
Mario Kart: Double Dash - Mushroom Bridge Theme
This song made me fall off the bridge or just mess up so many times, because it made me want to dance in game. Although my brother hated me punching to the music in co-op mode, I just couldn’t help it, it’s amazing. For a racing song, I can’t get enough of it. My hatred of racing games is high, but I never hated a Mario Kart game because of what they offer, this includes the music. This song to me stood out the most out of all the songs because it’s the one I remember most as a kid and will never forget. I think of it whenever I remember the game and it’s something that should be listened to before you could understand, well, all of this is.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - Battle Theme
This song makes me want to fight, party, and generally kick ass in any Paper Mario game or any RPG. While I thought that the other songs in other games were decent they have never made me so thrilled as this one has. I want to do all in my power to win, because if I don’t, the music will stop and I will have to wait a while to hear it again and that is something I cannot risk for it is the best. I don’t need to write about this, you need to listen!
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Sariah’s Song
No wonder the gorons love it. I want to explore, dance, adventure. I want to solve puzzles. I don’t feel lost at all and in fact feel like I can make it through any maze. While not fitting anywhere else but the forest, I don’t want to leave the forest when I listen to this amazingly orchestrated piece. I feel like the goron city would also be a good place to play this song, because it’s just the best. You can even hear it if you go near the goron city portal to the lost woods. Truly amazing.
