Trailer for New Update and Release Date!


The newest edition of Starfire now has a formal trailer! Whaaat?!

As the video states, I’ll be releasing the new version of Starfire on February 20th, giving me plenty of time to promote it as well as iron out some last minute details.

Currently, the things added in this new edition are:

  1. 3D minimap

  2. Targeting systems

  3. First person perspective (removed third person perspective)

  4. Level set up (choose # of enemies, # of friendlies)

  5. Better AI

  6. More robust aiming system

  7. Screenshot ability

  8. Various bug fixes

Things removed:

  1. Motherships have been removed until post update

  2. Third person

  3. Respawning

Other Features:

  1. Teams supporting up to 50 ships each

  2. Detailed cockpit view

  3. Faster pace

  4. Asteroid field is now front and center!

Things planned for the future (this is not a concrete list)

Out of boredom and curiosity, I coded Sailor Jupiter's Argentine Backbreaker.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
