Hunter was into this dude named Remirez when he was alive (they called him Remy) and was so jealous of the boyfriend Remy already had. One night he got super drunk and high and blacked out. When he came to, he found out he had killed Remy's boyfriend. The only other person who knew was Otis, who promised he could keep a secret if Hunter paid him lots of moolah. Hunter tried to get the money but failed, so Otis secretly told the deceased boyfriend's friends about what Hunter did, which then they proceeded to burn Hunter alive in an alleyway. When Hunter's friends came to help, Otis explained everything. Hunter begged with tears and screaming that he was sorry and he didn't know what he was doing but his friends wouldn't listen and left him there, including Remy, who had been in the relationship with Hunter for 4 years and had only been with the deceased boyfriend for 2 months. Now, Hunter feels that everyone will eventually abandoned him. He ended up hooking up with Zephyr at a bar, but the thing was he knew Zephyr didn't really give two shits about him, but he didn't care. He was just desperate to have someone care about him, even if it was pretend because he thought that anyone who genuinely cared about him was going to abandon him, but he wants to be with Winter, who actually loves him, so bad. He's so torn it's driving him crazy, so he copes with the substance abuse and self harm...
