I encountered a large rat snake sunning itself. It wasn't very concerned about me; they are friendly snakes in general. However, the photo isn't good since I didn't want to stress it out by getting too close...

Squirrel friend almost ate a walnut from my hand! I think I was shaking too much and startled her, though. I was holding a really weird position with like, half my body hanging out the window, and the outside cold air was blasting me.

Very toxic, invasive, and the plant is covered with thorns, but even so, I'm always excited to see these horse nettle berries. The colour is so nice.
