Hello gamers and game developers, I am 99 Studios, and I am here with very important things to announce in the eleventh (and far from last) Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game post! In case you're new to Twardy 2.0 or you forgot about it, Twardy 2.0 is a soul-like game where you can save the world... or do nothing. Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game is where I present what happened during the month and what is going to happen next month in Twardy 2.0. This State Of The Game post will contain very important news for Twardy 2.0 fans!
Before we dive into the latest news, I want to announce that I have been making Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game posts for over a year now. Through those 12 months, the game has become significantly larger and has gained a fanbase larger than I could have ever predicted. This wouldn't be possible without every who has supported me and you- the reader- taking the time to get to know a game from an underrated unknown developer.
The biggest thing I want to announce is that a Chapter 2 Preview update is releasing across ALL platforms (more on that later) on April 4, 2026 at 5:00 PM PDT | 8:00 PM EDT! Since Chapter 2 has gotten SO massive, I have made this update to give you something while you're waiting. Also, this update revamps the versioning system (26.01.1 -> 0.10.37) to prepare for Chapter 2. For Itch users, I am setting the game back to early access, due to the fact that this game will never be truly "released" until all of the main story is complete, which may take a few more years.
Until now, I have had Twardy 2.0 published on Itch and only Itch. The Chapter 2 Preview update will be the first version to release on both GD Games and Game Jolt! This will help expand the fanbase and reach more players. Future updates (e.g. Chapter 2) will continue to be released on all 3 platforms (Itch, GD Games, & Game Jolt).
On Game Jolt, I have made a Twardy 2.0 Community! On the Game Jolt community, you can view announcements, post fan-art, craft theories, peek at teasers, answer polls, and more! I will regularly post there, and occasionally give behind-the-scenes screenshots/articles! ;)
Lastly, to help out the GDevelop community, I have made a Spawn Object in Range extension on Itch! With this extension, you can easily spawn objects inside of a random position (float or integer!) or even inside another object. It is completely free, so you can use it in any projects you want for no price.
Thank you very much for reading this Twardy 2.0 State Of The Game Post. Please stay tuned for more Twardy 2.0 information in the devlog and the State Of The Game post in April! Also, if you have any ideas or feedback about the game or any devlog posts, please post them in the Twardy 2.0 Community on Itch!
