If someone doesn't know Unfriended is a 2014 horror film directed by Levan Gabriadze, shot in the form of a mockumentary. The film was shown for the first time at the Fantasia Film Festival on July 20, 2014 and was subsequently bought by Universal Pictures and Jason Blum's Blumhouse Productions, the production company of several hits such as Paranormal Activity, Insidious, Sinister, Ouija, The night of the judgment and many others. The film is a variation on the horror found footage subgenre, as it is not shot by a manual camera, but is set completely on the screen of a MacBook Air belonging to Blaire, the protagonist, played by Shelley Hennig.
