Before you guys begin malding and form an angry rebellion against me, you need to read this so you can understand why I decided to scrap the idea of a campaign version of UJN.
The reason why JOLLY Horrors failed as a series, other than general decline or the expansion of the lore killing the series, is because starting with Georgiger's REBRANDED, I began feeling the immense desire for other FNaF fangame creators' popularity.
I thought I was going to be extremely popular with JOLLY Horrors by basing too many of the games' aspects off of different FNaF fangames, to the point where I only cared about myself and the games for a while and lashed out at people for even sharing criticisms about them, most notably with Georgiger's, which could be why I got talked out of it by my partners, who helped me with Georgiger's HARD MODE and Robotic LIFE. They obviously did not want to see me with that much pride, envy and wrath.
I actually did try to find ways to tone down on this, and that is why I came up with this conclusion on why I changed my mind on UJN campaign mode.
"Ultimate JOLLY Night: Campaign Mode did not feel like JOLLY at all."
This was the feeling I felt when I began developing the game's menu. There were absolutely no JOLLY characters in the main menu despite JOLLY being in the game's name, just the OC's of me and my partners. Even if Buzzy is in the menu and looks like Jolly, it just doesn't feel the same.
I have made two similar concepts of the game.
The first was where you play as a Mashed Up character, explore a world, fight enemies and bosses as well as have side challenges which were essentially randomised UJN nights.
The second was where you are in some house or cabin in different points in time, facing against characters created by one of the four people in the development team based on what point in time it is.
I realised just now that both of these concepts do not feel like JOLLY fangames at all. I also really want to quit game developing after UJN. Even if I tried to make UJN Campaign into an original game like how Tyler made TRTF into an original thing, it's just not gonna go anywhere.
I hope you understand why I made the decision to just move on from game development after such a long time and focus on other things, like OJD: TFE or the Glyphers book series.
IDK what else to do in this website so I might as well just be socially inactive on this account indefinitely.
I may still release updates to UJN and the 2nd anniversary games from time to time, but other than that, I guess it's time I move on to a new era.
Adios.
