Hi, everybody! After two and a half long years or theory-crafting, fighting, blood, sweat and tears, UNDERCREATOR is finally released to the public.
Keep in mind that this is a demo, this is only a fraction of what's to come. There will be updates in the future that add more stuff, and if this demo is too inconvenient to use, please do say so and I can make it better!
I have been working so hard to get this out, it has been a dream of mine to make something unique and outstanding, and ever since that fateful day in June 2023, I have been through a lot.
I lost four relatives.
I moved house.
I graduated with a degree.
And now, it's here. Something that I'm more proud of than anything else I had ever made.
I also want to mention that it is currently PC only. If you know how, you can get it working on Mac, Linux or other devices if you have the right tools. Just... don't expect it to fully work correctly.
While I would love to say that this couldn't have happened without me, I do want to mention that I couldn't have done this alone, either. People volunteered to help, and boy, did they deliver. Out of over 100 applicants, over a quarter of them made the team. There have been overhauls to maximise accessibility, changes to the functionality, deviations from the old concept, NEW concepts... and so much more. I thank my team members dearly for this, especially the translators taking their free time to translate over 500 lines of text! It's insane.
There have been times where I had also thought "is this really worth doing?" or "do I scrap this and make something else?". As you can tell by this post, and the fact there's a download button up there, it was worth doing, and I didn't scrap it.
I would also like to thank the UNDEREVENT Staff and the Internet Game Database Staff for helping to give this project publicity, as well as others who were featured in UNDEREVENT 2024, some other banger stuff was also featured in it so if you haven't watched it yet... go do so!
One last thing, I just want to make it clear again that this isn't the end. There's LOTS more stuff to come. My plan was to release a demo and then release the full version when it was done... but after some time, I think it's best for the project if we do it in stages - making the demo was stage 1, and now we're at stage 2.
Next update's features are currently unknown, but one thing that is known is that there will be more coming.
If you find any bugs or if there's anything that you think is out of the ordinary, please let us know about it. The best way to get in contact is to join our Discord server: https://discord.gg/mN2y4hnBDZ
Thank you. Well, not just you, but everyone else who followed the project, tested it, even those who just gave it a look for two seconds and thought "meh".
You're all awesome,
Lottie, the developer
