Updating the GMS version has caused a few unfixable problems such as other players not being able to see your chat, taunts or your proper namecolor.
I made a deal with RickyG where we would only use the workaround for online mode only if it didn't cause any inconsistencies with unmodded players. Even though unmodded users cannot play at this current moment, there is no doubt these problems would persist even once unmodded starts working again.
For the time being, we can only wait for the DDoS attacks to stop. My apologies.

The next update should fix Online Mode! You'll likely still experience crashes every so often due to the ongoing DDoS attacks, but this should allow you to actually connect and chat with other players.
Next update is comin along pretty smoothly, its a small one but it oughta be worth the wait.
