This is a small demo I made utilizing the free character asset Unity Chan and some other free assets for the unity asset store. My goal was to see what I could build with free assets. I’ve always wanted to make a 3d platformer, after some of my favourite games like mario 64, banjo and others. It’s a lot of work, and trying to get the character movement just right is much harder than it seems. I heard the mario 64 team spent over a month just working on marios movement alone. I still have a lot of tweaking to do. For now it’s not even a full level yet, but after I finish up some other projects I plan on try to make a complete level or two for this.
