After his character development from the first bw games he changed from trying to be the best trainer mindset that most rivals have into something that suits him more. Something more unique. He then starts up a school in bw 2 to teach the new trainers of Aspertia City which is a great use for his skills. As well as being the new normal type gym leader. He is a very great character and one of if not the most memorable gym leader as he actually has an actual story of who he is instead of you just going to a gym and fighting the gym leader and never thinking about them again. Not only that but it's one of the first nostalgia attacks you get when you start playing bw 2.
