UNRELATED Chapter Zero art contest! Enter and you could get early access to Chapter Zero!


Chapter Zero is getting closer every day, huh? Feels like just yesterday I was struggling through Kibi's Undertale/Deltarune style text system tutorial... Few things have changed, haha.

ABOUT THE CONTEST

You have between Right The Heck Now O'Clock and September 7th to make a drawing and submit it by tagging it with #UNRELATEDcontestArt and including @ALMOST-_-CLEVER somewhere in the post. There will be one winner, announced on September 9th.

PRIZES

The winning entrant will be given access to Unrelated Chapter Zero v.0.1! As stated in an earlier post, v.0.1 will be a playable test version of Chapter Zero, completable in its entirety.

You will be allowed to download v.0.1 as soon as it's playable. Meaning, if I finish v.0.1 before September 9th, you'll be given access immediately, and if I don't, you'll be given access as soon as it's playable. That means you'd get it the same time as developing staff like @Ffatalityy !

There are only a few people who'll be allowed to access v.0.1, and they are:

  • @ffatalityy ! Our lead musician and my friend!

  • RykoCheeto, our other musician! She's a notorious Sans fan and a real fluffy bunny of a person :3

  • @CosmicPrince is welcome to it as she's making a drawing for the game, but I don't think she's played Undertale, so...?

  • My immediate friends and family!

  • YOU! If you win the contest!!

RULES

  • Art must be of an UNRELATED OC (Alice) or specifically UNRELATED's version of a preexisting character (UDF!Gaster, UDF!Papyrus, ect)

  • Art must be original. If you're one of the people who's already made UDF art, 1) I am extremely grateful, 2) nice try! If I've already seen it, you can't submit it.

  • Have fun! Remember, the drawing doesn't need to be "good", you need to have tried. Someone I know who might be reading this so I won't specify them makes some of the genuinely cutest, nicest, happiest art I've ever seen, but it isn't very technically "good". But I love their art! Show me not that you know what an ulna is and therefore can draw a good arm, but that you had fun!

  • Deadline is September 7th. Winner will be chosen September 9th.

Still working on my Earthbound playthrough, paused it to play through Pokemon Legends: Arceus. That said, still very much liking Earthbound and finding inspiration in it. You know what would be cute? If UNRELATED!Sans had a jammies sprite like Ness does.

UNRELATED update! working on the menu some more. Still trying to find a good font? I'll probably just use the UNDERTALE one, but I'm experimenting with some others. The one here is from EARTHBOUND!
