About the lack of communication and updates on my projects.
After a month of having decided to completely change my programming engine, I have finally had the decided idea to change my programming engine.
Lately when I open the Polybius program in TurboWarp I suffer from many performance problems, it is not my computer, if we add to that I am using a bigger PC exclusively for my projects which has helped me a lot. But the problems are more associated with the weight of the game, literally the thing is 10 times heavier than all my old TurboWarp games together. I look at it now, and I feel like I am going too far with an engine that is simply not made to support such amounts of code, sprites, and everything in general.
You simply cannot climb a roller coaster with a tricycle. No matter how many addons I program, the latest updates and extensions I find in the community forums, TurboWarp really isn't as powerful as Clickteam, and that's crap.
I've dedicated almost 8 years of my life to this program, only to come up with the most ambitious and disgusting project I've ever done, and I can't continue, because the program fails with performance errors, bugs or simply crashes and closes.
I've been studying several new engines, including Godot, Clickteam and GameMaker 2, and I've fully decided that I'll start, from now on, developing my projects in the last one.
So, I'll be dedicating a lot of my time to GameMaker 2 to study it, learn more, and when I finally feel ready with all the necessary tools, I'll share a first project outside of fangames, if it gets good reviews, expect an update with the new Polybius page, his old TurboWarp build and a GameMaker demo. I won't cancel that damn project, it's my love. Freddtime Plus was already somewhat advanced a few months ago, but it will also receive a demo build made in TurboWarp and the game will be completely finished in GameMaker.
I love programming, it's my dream and my addiction along with drawing, and mixing both into a delight that I can't help but feel happy to do in my free time. Personal things like high school and work are not a burden or an obstacle to my progress in my projects. I think I'll stay silent for a few months, until I bring something big and decent, outside of a limited engine for kids. I have a lot of projects under the covers that I'm excited to work on in a more advanced place that can sustain the capacity I truly feel I can offer.
Not bad news, good news, just a status update, and I wouldn't bother sharing this, but I feel it serves just because of the lack of "news" about my shit that I do in my free time, so take this as you will, but for me it's something nice and satisfying. I hope we can see each other in a while, because when I get back I'll be bringing some nice veiny cock and not some generic, repetitive stuff.
I know my updates are very vague and ambiguous, but this is how I like to share, with very small demonstrations, it is more comfortable and pleasant.
