Hey there!
With the release of update 1.0.0, Usman has left the ‘Early Access’ Status!
We have been working on a lot of engine tweaks and performance improvements. Below you can find the complete patch notes of this update:
Engine improvements
Improved text and graphics for low resolutions.
The game should now scale correctly on most resolutions. To get a clear image, we recommend a resolution of 1920x1080 or higher.
Improved performance greatly. We have tested this version and compared it to previous versions on multiple devices. The game runs with constant 60 FPS on one of our testing laptops from 2007. If you still experience performance issues, please contact us.
Reduced max FPS to 60 as a higher FPS number has caused problems. Players can now choose between 30 and 60 FPS mode.
Fixed a memory leak which caused the game to use more ram after every respawn, which eventually crashed the game.
Better anti cheat
Game Design
There is now a max movement speed. It is recommended to decrease your mouse dpi settings if you keep getting a “Move your mouse slower” message.
Fixed a bug where rotating walls didn’t move for a couple of seconds after game start.
Usman will now die everytime the game loses focus (for example if the player tabs out of the game)
Fixed a lot of smaller bugs
You can now rotate usman by pressing the left and right mouse button.
HUD and menus
Redesigned menu and level selection
Community
Created a discord channel. You can join it by clicking the “Discord” button in the main menu.
Editor
In the Editor, the numblock is no longer used. Instead, WASD is used to resize objects.
Added sounds to the editor
There are now triangle versions of walls and decorations in the editor
There are now rotating decoration objects
Levels
Removed the difficulty system
Increased the overall difficulty. We want our game to be challenging.
Removed most old levels and added 7 new levels. More levels will be added in future updates.
All old levels are available as download. You can start them as custom maps.
We really hope you like what we have done during the last year.
Greetings, swordman games.
