Hey guys, it’s been a while. This is probably going to be one of the last updates for VoYD, and it’s addressing a pretty fundamental design issue I’ve been thinking over for a while now. It was really harming the intended gameplay, and as such I’ve made the following change: Dashing now draws from a recharging Dark Souls-style stamina bar.
This is a pretty big change, for sure, but one that needed to be made. As such the game is definitely going to be a little harder overall, but it’s going to have more substance and weight, and will knock out a lot of boring and unintended dominant strategies that I’ve seen cropping up.
I also just wanted to say thanks to you all for playing, commenting and following. VoYD has hit over 10,000 downloads now, which is more than I had ever hoped for.
