Update #2: Slowly but surely...

Hey Freedom Fighters! Did you all have a good Christmas and New Years? Hopefully you spent it with your family, and enjoyed a relaxing, blessed holiday season!

It’s been a while since you last heard from me, huh? I know, I know… I apologize for the delay. Life, work, and family happens, you know?

Progress on Zone 5 is coming along finally, moreso than it was the last time I updated you. In fact, it even has a name now:

Zone 5: Crystal Quarry! Act 1 will put the Freedom Fighters on the roof of a speeding train, as they infiltrate Robotnik’s crystal mine.

Fun fact, the SatAM episode I used to make Zone 5 is the same one I used for the opening scene of Zone 1. Neat, right?

Of course, with a new level comes new enemies, so there will be plenty of fresh badniks for you to blow up! Speaking of which…

Here’s one now. This enemy was made by DJGameFreakTheIguana. The sprites originate from Megaman X4, which DJ then edited to resemble a Swat Bot. I like to call it the “Swat Bot FAT-type.” What does FAT stand for? “Fierce Assault Trooper,” of course! What, you thought it was referring to the Bot’s portly figure? Well, you’re absolutely right totally wrong!

That’s all for now, folks. Stay tuned for more updates, because there’s more to come soon.

And hey, do you want more Sonic beat ‘em up action in your life? DJGameFreakTheIguana, who helped me make this game, is making a game of his own: Sonic Revolution! It has tons of playable characters from Sonic games, Sonic comics, and other Sega franchises too!

You can check out Sonic Revolution right here!

As always, stay “way past cool,” guys!

I've updated the character select screen to include the character icons. Looks clean and fills out a lot of dead space.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.

Why walk when you can jump?

An infected room from the second part of Cybel ! Are you up for some cleansing?
