Hey folks! I wanted to give an update on what I've been working on, where I've been, and the current state of Deltarune: Altered Fates.

As one might expect, learning how to code can be quite difficult- Especially if you're starting out on a game quite as grand as this one. When I first started this devlog, somebody said that "learning how to code as I go along is just another way of saying this game will never come out".

I want to make one thing clear: My friend and I are VERY passionate about this concept and game. We do want to finish it at some point. However, while we were working on it, I realized we had neglected a project our friend group as a whole was trying to work on.

Because of this, we've decided to put Deltarune: Altered Fates on the back burner for the time being. That doesn't mean this game is canceled! Far from it. I already have so many ideas for Chapter 1 planned out- In fact, the main story is pretty much planned out timeline wise, it's just a matter of writing the physical script.

Now, as for the project we have decided to put our main focus on:

I can't say too much right now, all I can say is that it is something we are pouring a lot of love into. We've made a Twitter/X account to write posts relating to the project- It currently does not have a Title yet, but the subtitle is "A Lost Dream". Now- Where does that leave this devlog? Like I said, we still want to work on this game- It will just take time. I would love to show you guys some character designs but I don't want to reveal too much. So, I'm going to leave it up to a poll. Depending on which option wins, I will make a post later sharing a character's design!

Anywho, I hope everyone has been doing well, and again I do apologize for those who were expecting a bigger update by now. I promise you, though, I will give an update on the game's development when I think the time is right. It will just take a while.
