Neon Valley is out now on Steam! I have uploaded the demo to Game Jolt so everybody can test out the various features of Neon Valley in The Mainframe!
NV has levelled up a lot in the last year. I have added railguns, shotguns, shields, booster packs and a bunch more. With more weapons and gadgets in the works and soon to come! I have added a high score system, scores are tracked online and leaderboards are shown in the game. Huge visual overhaul, I have reworked lighting and post-processing effects to make Neon Valley look like digital eye candy. (Or eye rape if you are epileptic so please don’t even look at it if you are such a person) I have reworked many of the main game mechanics, from the wall jumping to weapons to camera movement for better game feel.
In Neon Valley there are now three maps! With three new game modes. The game modes also automatically adjust for solo players, turning it into a PvE challenge. There is DM which starts spawning hundreds of drones to chase you down. The floor is lava where you have to avoid fireballs going from waypoint to waypoint. And contain virus mode where you have to deactivate the virus microchip before it kills you and bring it to quarantine zone… while avoiding falling chunks of digital sky.
I have made a city for Neon Valley which is the networking hub and the demo city. Here there are multiple minigame challenges which give you access to the various features in The Mainframe. From weapon testing, a planetarium for sexy visuals and even character customization! There is also an arena to PvP other players and a practice range to pew pew targets for… well… practice. There are many more features in the works for The Mainframe, from bars to game arcades. And more customization items in development!
There’s a huge list of changes and fixes and updates but I won’t bore you with details. Check it out for yourself if you are interested :D
