Update! (Bug fixes, History, and the Future)

Hey everyone!

So I recently hit 1000 views on Rage Mage, and nearly 100 plays. Thanks everyone!

I haven’t posted any updates yet, mainly because I’ve been busy and haven’t really had the time to do it.

So, recently I did just release the full version of Rage Mage, after a few beta versions. Since releasing it, I have actually had to re-upload it to fix a few bugs, so if you downloaded it before a few days ago, try redownloading it, because there were one or two major bugs I fixed.

I also want to talk a bit about the future for Rage Mage, and a little bit of the history. If you’re only here to play games, you might not really be interested in this. So here goes:

Rage Mage is my first proper game that I’ve made, and I started working on it in August 2013. Even though I’ve been working on it for over a year, it is an extremely short game (around 30 minutes or so). That’s because I got bored of the project a bit, and lost a lot of motivation. I also programmed the main mechanics in a horrible way, and it was really hard to work with. So, I had to cut it shorter than I had planned.

I originally did want Rage Mage to be a long game, with a lot of quests and places you could travel to, but I lost so much motivation for it that I really didn’t want to work on it much longer.

However, I think maybe in the future, (probably after my next one or two games) I will add more to it. But I’ll probably have to remake the entire game from the ground up. So I would add a lot more quests, more villages/towns, and more of a story, which thinking about kind of excites me :D

So, thanks to everyone that’s played Rage Mage, it means a lot, and thanks for reading this! :)

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!

blender animation experimentation, getting the hang of things fast. arms, rig, & gun models by me ofc

Hello my space friends! Now I added a space background to the ship. I love that space look but I still feel like stuff is missing. The lighting on the ship needs some improvements I think. Please tell me your opinion!
