Alright, so you all are aware that I said that I'd be making V2 of Return of the Phantom, and I even had progression started. Now, here is some updates about that.
I'm not motivated to remake the whole damn game. This game took the longest for me to make with it having 12 cameras, 19 characters, and just so many extra stuff. I have ideas on how I can make the game better, but I'm just not motivated to draw it all myself. I am fine with the rooms, but for some reason, not the animatronics themselves.
Animation isn't my strong suit. Never was, never will. Yes, I can copy the old jumpscares I have with some slight changes to make it better, but again, some jumpscares have over 10 frames. It's just a nightmare to do.
I'm aware that I am going to need to replace a few characters, as well as update others. In honesty, it's a pain in the butt to do. For someone like Macy, I can do that easy peasy. But when you have to update other characters, including jumpscares, it's just a nightmare to do.
Now, I know how much of a disappointment this can seem. After me making NOTP V2 and having a teaser for the start of ROTP V2, it can seem hopeful that I'd do it. Unfortunately, this game is way too big for me to remake, and it'll be like a fight between being motivated and being unmotivated. Maybe something will come up in the future where I will remake the whole thing somehow, but for now, I'm just not motivated to do so. I have plans for other games, like working on Sinister Dreams, for example. So, I'm sorry if this sounds like a downer, but unless someone is willing to help me artistically or if I find the motivation again, ROTP V2 will not be happening anytime soon.
I'm sorry.
