The night I left the Discord, my parents asked me again, in person, what I needed it for. I told them the whole truth, from joining Reddit, to doing random VA work, and finally landing a job as Axe. They weren't very happy about it. They weren't necessarily mad that I went behind their back, just concerned that I could've put myself in a dangerous situation with those apps. I'm sure some pervs and child predditors (see what I did there?) are on Reddit, and they were concerned with Discord that I might be invited to servers (through anywhere, not just Reddit) where there was a greater potential for me to come into contact with those kinds of people. I totally understand that they are just trying to protect me, and I can understand their concerns. What better bait than "Hey, I need a VA for Darth Vader? Any kids want to help out?" (I did audition for a Darth Vader once, I actually got the role, but the project was postponed). Heck, for all I knew, Steve_En could've been a wanted child molester. I have 99.9% certainty that he's not NOW after getting to know him, but I had no way of knowing that when he sent me the Discord invite. Anybody can say anything about themselves over the web, and not all of it might be true. Heck, all of this might be a lie. (It's not. Or is it? *V-Sauce theme starts playing*) Even now, I'm realizing that with the server link up publicly on GameJolt, any perv with a Discord account can go on and harass a bunch of teenagers. I doubt that will happen, but my parents don't want to take that risk, which again, I completely understand and respect. So, anyway, they took away my Discord and Reddit privileges, but I still have my phone. I'm only allowed on it for limited time everyday, but as long as I have Google Chrome, I have GameJolt, so I'm still going to be hanging around, and I'll see updates and stuff. Maybe someday I'll get those apps back. I might ask for those privileges back for my birthday, I'll be a little older, maybe they'll be more willing. I don't know. Plus, I can work on all of the art promises I made to Reddit while I'm gone. Anyway, I'm not coming back to Discord (for a while at least), but I'll live. We had some good times, but I'm moving on. You can still get to me through Roblox (at BobTheTacoTruckGuy) and YouTube (also Bob The Taco Truck Guy).
