Hey everyone, it's QSV here. This article dips out of the "goofy no caps" theme that I have going on for this page, but it's for a good reason.
I came to let you know how the game was going, and what is left to do before I release it to the public.
Programming - 99.99%? (bug-testing might reveal a minor thing or two in the near future that I might have to fix before release)
Sprites - 97% (just need to fix a few layering issues)
Attacks - 100%
Achievements - 100% (yeah, this game will have achievements)
Dialogue - 99.99% (might change one line or two before the game goes out)
Music - 10% (composer is still recovering but has an idea of what the themes will sound like)
Plenty of people came to playtest the game. I won't be revealing any of them until the game is out because you have a tendency to... yell at them? So, just yell at me instead.
ALSO...
This will be my first Game Maker game compiled in YYC. This is mainly a testament for the Reborn project as YYC is native code instead of interpreted (think of comparing Lego houses (VM) to a real house (YYC)).
This is to increase performance as YYC embeds the source code in the executable file itself (C++), which will help the game run faster on older machines, seeing as this game will run in 60 frames per second instead of the usual 30, which can be taxing on some devices.
TAKE THAT, DATAMINERS
Overall, we're getting really close to a full release. The date, I cannot provide one, because then that would put pressure on my playtesters and composer. The last thing I want to do at the end of the day is to rush not only my helpers, but myself.
Time is everything.
